On The Menu – 28th February 2018 – Farewell Fiona

We had a very special evening on the 28th February as it was a chance to say farewell to the wonderful Fiona who is stepping back from the project leader team after nearly five years.

Alex made a scrapbook with photos and messages from volunteers and guests past and present. Marilyn made a very special passion fruit & lemon cake. Joe had a special photobook printed. Carol organised a song – ‘Thank You For Fiona’ to the tune of ‘Thank You For The Music’ – and put together a special quiz about Fiona that involved everyone!

And lots of FoodCycle faces past and present made a special appearance to thank Fiona!

Starter: See You Soon Soup (Tomato Soup).
Main: Farewell Frittata (Vegetable Frittata with Baked Potatoes, Roasted Potatoes and Salad).
Dessert: Bye-nana Bread (Banana Bread Muffins and a slice of Marilyn’s Passion Fruit & Lemon Cake).

On The Menu – 21st February 2018

To coincide with the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang we got creative with our course names!

Starter: Curling Carrot Soup.
Main: Off-Piste Pasta (Pasta Bake).
Dessert: Alpine Apple Crumble.

We got creative with our course names to celebrate 100 years since the Representation of the People Act was passed in Britain, giving some women the right to vote.

Starter: Men Are A Yolk (Baked Eggs In Bread with Garlic Bread and Baked Beans).
Main: Suffragette Sprout Curry (Brussels Sprouts Curry).
Dessert: Votes For Cake! (Lemon Drizzle Cake).
