Volunteering with Bath FoodCycle

We’ve loads of fantastic volunteer opportunities available! Whether you want to cook at our weekly sessions, become a hub leader, work with our community, help at fundraising events, or get dressed as a chilli to raise awareness, there’s plenty to do with Bath FoodCycle.

Opportunities are flexible – sign up to a session every week, or a session once in 6 months. You choose. Just sign up to our rota when you’re available.

To join as a volunteer:

  1. First visit our page on the main website for further details.
  2. Then sign up via My FoodCycle so you’re covered by our insurance policy. (You must be over 18 to volunteer with us). You’ll need to take a short food safety quiz before you can sign up for a session (don’t worry, there’s a video to help you!).
  3. Finally sign up for a session using My FoodCycle! See Signing up to the rota for more details, including a link to a step-by-step guide.
  4. If you are having problems with the rota, check out our trouble shooting tips.

Travel costs

Do you need to get a bus or train to St Marys for a cooking session? We can reimburse your travel costs up to a value of £5. Just bring a receipt or your ticket to the session. Reimbursements take around 2-3 weeks and will be paid direct into your account. Ask your session leader or head chef on the day for details.
