On The Menu – 14th December 2016

So here it is… our final meal of the year and our special Christmas dinner!

A huge thank you to our food donators for supplying us with extra special ingredients for the evening – Morrisons London Road, M&S Weston Lock, Sainsbury’s Odd Down, Sainsbury’s Green Park and The Fine Cheese Co.!

Starter: Scrooge Soup (Squash Soup with Red Onion and Goat’s Cheese Toast).

Main: Cracking Christmas Roast Dinner (Quorn Roast with Roast Potatoes, Honey Roasted Carrots and Parsnips, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Spring Greens, Toad In The Hole with Quorn Sausages, Our Own FoodCycle Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce).

Dessert: Caribbean Christmas Delight (Caramelised Pineapple Rings with Sweet Orange Syrup Sauce, Christmas Pudding and Vanilla Cream with a Raspberry).

Followed by special FoodCycle Mince Pies!

A big thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who made this meal (and the whole year) a very special one indeed!

We’re taking a well-earned break for a couple of weeks but will be back in action on the 4th January 2017! Get the new year off to a great start and be sure to sign up to the rota!
