About Us

Bath FoodCycle is a local hub of a national charity. We’re entirely run by volunteers and have been cooking in Bath since November 2011.

What do we do? The FoodCycle ethos is simple. We collect surplus food each week from local retailers and cook a 3-course nutritious meal for people in need within our local community. Along with reducing food waste and alleviating food poverty, we provide a wealth of volunteer opportunities and help break down community barriers. Our community meals are open to all, and provide a safe, social environment for people to relax and experience (what we hope is) restaurant quality food and service with a friendly smile.

We hold our cooking sessions in the community hall behind St Mary’s Catholic Church on Julian Road (opposite Co-Op) every Wednesday evening – the Wednesday Grub Club. Food prep (ready steady cook!) starts at 4:30pm once we’ve voted on what we’ll make. Our guests start arriving at 7pm for tea and coffee, and we serve food from 7:30pm. By 9pm we’re done.

  1. Hi
We are launching a new home Apple pressing service in Bath, and we anticipate having some surplus juice from customers who donate some of their apples to us this Autumn.

If we do have a surplus, we’d love to donate it to your project. We would pasteurise and bottle the juice for you so it would keep for over a year.
Is this something that would be of interest to you?
